Ashoxy - is a 200ml spray with Oxytetracycline as an active ingredient. Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic active against a large number of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, certain mycoplasma species, chlamydia, rickettsia and some protozoa. It exerts its antibacterial action by inhibiting protein synthesis of organisms. Ashoxy is indicated for the treatment of diseases due to or associated with oxytetracycline susceptible organisms like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in cattle, goats, sheep, pig, and horses.

It exerts its antibacterial action by inhibiting protein synthesis of organisms like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in cattle, goats, sheep, pig, and horses.

Each ml contains:

    What are the indications for using this medicine?

    Ashoxy is indicated for the treatment of diseases due to or associated with oxytetracycline susceptible organisms like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in cattle, goats, sheep, pig, and horses.

    Dosage information

    • Large Animals: 5 to10 mg/kg body weight repeated every 24 hours for a period of 3-5 days.
    • Small animals: 10mg oxytetracycline per kg body weight 24 hours for a period of 3-5 days.

    What should I watch for while taking this medicine?

    Following the withdrawal of the first dose use the product within 28 days. Discard the used bottle safely.

    Withdrawal period

    • Cattle, horses: 6 days
    • Sheep and goats: 14 days

    What side effects may I notice from this medicine?

    Oxytetracycline and tetracycline given to young animals can cause discoloration of teeth to a yellow or brown colour. High dosages or chronic administration may delay bone growth and healing. Tetracyclines can sometimes cause nausea, vomiting, anorexia and diarrhoea.

    Where can I keep my medicine?

    Store it in a cool and dry place. Protect from the direct sunlight.
